Intellectual disability
respite care

At My Life, we understand the importance for all members of families
who have loved ones with intellectual disability and complex needs,
including the individual, to have regular and planned breaks.

Our respite service (delivered in Claddagh House and the Avenue in Ardee) provides frequent rest and respite periods, designed to provide a refreshing break.

Our respite care is funded by the HSE Louth and Meath Disability Teams, who manage bookings for the service, and is registered with HIQA.

All referrals to the service are made through the HSE Disability Teams.

Our friendly and innovative staff are highly-trained in all aspects of supporting people to avail of respite care.

Our respite homes have fantastic purpose-built facilities and our approach is built around social and recreational activities and experiences.

We plan respite stays around established social networks where we can.

Supporting people to live their lives

At My Life, we are dedicated to helping people live their lives – their way, celebrating who they are and helping them to use all their talents. We aim to improve everyone’s quality of life, emphasising and empowering identity, life aspirations and choices.
