At MyLife, we recognise and reward those who set and maintain the highest standards of excellence.

Many of our team have been with our service for the past 15 years. We offer competitive pay rates and a work environment with a fully structured development programme.

We caught up with Barbara Murphy, our Director of Care, who explained more about our history and what working at MyLife entails.

“I joined MyLife in 2017 so I’ve worked here for six years. It’s been a fantastic opportunity and journey for me,” Barbara explains. “The service has grown massively – and has gone from strength to strength.

“We have currently got 11 houses open. Three of those are respite houses, the rest are for people who require residential care. It has brought great opportunity for growth for recruitment and employment in the Louth, Meath and Monaghan area.”

Barbara continues: “Myself and my colleagues take part in the interview process. We ask questions that the residents have asked us to ask in the interview – because you’re working for them.

“In MyLife, the residents are the boss. We are there to support them. We have a very highly skilled set of staff; we support them with training, development and supervision to improve services.”

MyLife currently supports over 140 families in the Louth and Meath area, with over 110 colleagues working for the company – and we are continuing to grow.

“My colleagues and I are working together towards strengthening the service and developing it into something that is driven by the residents.

“It should be a place they want to live.”

If you are a caring person who shares our values of family and home, then working with My Life will be deeply rewarding, satisfying and challenging in a dynamic supportive environment.
