Physical and sensory
disabilities respite care

Physical and sensory disabilities impact significantly on many people’s lives in Louth and Meath across a wide range of conditions.

Physical and sensory disabilities may include conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, motor neurone disease, muscular dystrophy, stroke, kidney disease, acquired brain injury (through an accident or illness), hearing impairment and visual impairment, as well as a wide range of chronic health conditions.

At My Life, we have developed a dedicated respite house for adults with physical and sensory disabilities across Louth and Meath, designed to provide a refreshing break.

Based in Dundalk, Anam Chara (Soul Friend) is funded by the HSE Louth and Meath Disability Teams and is registered with HIQA.

All referrals to the service are made through the HSE Disability Teams.

Our friendly and innovative staff are highly-trained in all aspects of supporting people to avail of respite services in Anam Chara.

We have fantastic purpose-built sensory facilities and our approach is built around social and recreational activities and living experiences.

Supporting people to live their lives

At My Life, we are dedicated to helping people live their lives – their way, celebrating who they are and helping them to use all their talents. We aim to improve everyone’s quality of life, emphasising and empowering identity, life aspirations and choices.
